‘The Anthony Walsh Podcast’ caters to the dedicated world of endurance cyclists and 'roadmen'. To build a brand that truly spoke to this audience, the visual identity has a unique and considered origin story, rooted in our design process.
For Anthony Walsh’s broader ‘Roadman’ brand, we’d initially explored using the sound wave of him saying ‘Welcome to the Roadman Podcast’ as a logo idea. That specific sound wave wasn’t used for ‘Roadman’ at the time, but the concept resonated deeply with its ability to represent Anthony's voice.
So, when branding his dedicated podcast, we revisited and repurposed that compelling sound wave. By visually embodying Anthony’s voice – the core of his podcast – the sound wave instantly communicates the audio nature of the platform in a distinctive and ownable way that directly connects with his cycling-focused listeners.
The final logo suite features this sound wave prominently, alongside clean, strong typography, creating a modern and versatile visual system. Used across cover art and branding, the design establishes ‘The Anthony Walsh Podcast’ as a recognisable and conceptually rich identity, born from a thoughtful and audience-focused design journey.
