Birds of Burden are part of Waterford’s alternative music scene, known for raw lyricism and a sound shaped by influence rather than imitation. The visual work needed to reflect the introspective, layered nature of the music without tipping into pastiche.
nmcDesign created the album artwork alongside a limited-edition, two-part poster series. The visual approach mirrors the tone of the music — restrained, atmospheric and emotionally weighted — allowing space for interpretation while remaining distinctive and memorable.
The result is a body of work that supports the band’s identity visually, translating mood and meaning into artwork designed to live beyond the release itself.
