Déise in Dublin

Deise in Dublin is a community-led initiative connecting people from Waterford living in the capital. The identity needed to express pride of place while remaining inclusive, recognisable and easy to use across everyday community touchpoints.

nmcDesign developed a logo rooted in Waterford’s heritage, drawing on the three ships of the city crest and a subtle reference to the Viking history of Ireland’s oldest city. These elements were distilled into a clear, contemporary mark that feels civic and familiar rather than overtly symbolic.

Designed to work across social media, events and communications, the identity balances meaning with simplicity. The result is a visual system grounded in place and belonging — authentic, flexible and built to support a growing community without losing its warmth or purpose.
