nmcDesign works as an ongoing design partner to Waterford Gallery of Art, supporting the promotion of exhibitions through considered, high-quality visual communication. While the gallery has a strong established identity, each exhibition requires its own distinct visual language to capture attention and reflect the work on display.
Our role centres on developing exhibition-led visuals, particularly posters, that balance clarity with creative expression. Some are image-led, others typographic, but each is designed to respond directly to the exhibition while maintaining a consistent level of craft and a recognisable gallery presence.
The result is a body of work that allows each exhibition to stand apart while reinforcing the gallery’s wider visual identity — helping attract audiences and support engagement with contemporary art.
