LGFA – Player Retention Programme
Teenage Kicks is an LGFA initiative designed to keep teenage girls engaged in Gaelic Games at a critical stage in their sporting journey. The brief was to create a visual identity that felt modern, confident and inclusive—something that spoke directly to young players while still sitting comfortably within the wider LGFA ecosystem.
Working in collaboration with Nudge, nmcDesign helped develop a bold, energetic identity that balances sport with self-expression. The branding needed to feel less like a formal programme and more like a movement—one that teenage players could genuinely connect with and feel proud to wear.
The final identity combines strong typography, confident colour choices and flexible graphic elements that translate seamlessly across apparel, digital assets and programme materials. From hoodies and training wear to online content, Teenage Kicks delivers a clear, contemporary look that resonates with its audience while reinforcing participation, confidence and belonging.
This project highlights how thoughtful design—rooted in insight and collaboration—can play a meaningful role in player retention and long-term engagement.
