You know where you’re going.

We make sure you look like it.

Most organisations do not wake up one morning needing “a brand”.

Something has happened.

You have grown. Changed direction. Started something. Outgrown something. Added three departments, two programmes and a logo somebody found in an old Dropbox folder.

That is usually when identity starts mattering.

nmcDesign designs identities for organisations that know where they are going and need something clear enough to travel with them.

Not decoration. Not theatre. Something you can actually use.

Identity

For organisations that need a new identity, a proper rethink, or have simply outgrown the one they have.

You leave with

  • Your core logo and the versions you actually need

  • A colour system

  • A typography system

  • Supporting graphic elements where they have an actual job

  • Clear rules for how the identity works together

  • Three agreed real-world applications

  • Practical identity guidelines

  • Final artwork for print and digital

  • A proper handover

  • 30 days of support while everybody gets used to the new furniture

Typical project: 5–6 weeks.

You will not get fifty logo options.

You will not get a 200-page brand bible requiring specialist training and a small priesthood to operate.

You will get a clear identity, properly thought through, properly tested and ready to use on Monday morning.

Identity System

Sometimes the identity itself is only half the problem.

There are teams. Programmes. Sub-brands. Sponsors. Templates. Regional bits. That rogue PowerPoint deck nobody will admit creating.

At that point, you need more structure.

Identity System starts with the same core identity work, then builds whatever else the organisation genuinely needs to stop the whole thing drifting apart again.

That can include

  • Identity architecture

  • More applications

  • Internal templates

  • Broader graphic systems

  • Rules for programmes, sub-brands and partnerships

  • More detailed guidelines

  • Rollout support

  • Additional handover and implementation help

There is no giant menu.

We work out what is actually needed, agree it before we start, then build that.

More moving parts should mean more structure.

Not more stuff for the sake of it.

Then we look around.

Nobody exists alone.

We look at your competitors, your category, the good stuff, the bad stuff and the peculiar habit everyone seems to have copied from everybody else.

Not so we can make you “different”.

Different is easy.

Recognisable is harder.

Then we make a mess.

Sketches. Words. Shapes. Type. Dead ends. Odd little ideas that refuse to die.

Most of that never needs to bother you.

The job is not to show how much work happened.

The job is to find the thing worth keeping.

Then we decide.

You might see one route.

You might see two.

Depends on the project.

We do not produce three logos because somebody once decided branding presentations should resemble an episode of Blind Date.

If one answer is clearly better, we will tell you.

If there are genuinely different ideas worth discussing, we will show them.

Choice is useful. Fake choice is just admin wearing a nice shirt.

Then we build the identity around it.

The logo is only the beginning.

Colour. Type. Layout. Graphic behaviour. Applications. The bits that actually make something recognisable when the logo is not taking up half the page.

A good mark surrounded by chaos is still chaos.

Then we try to break it.

Tiny.

Huge.

Black and white.

One colour.

Embroidery.

Cheap printer.

Bad screen.

Awkward background.

Real people.

Because identities do not live forever on beautifully lit mock-ups beside artisanal notebooks. They end up on vans, hoodies, social posts, PowerPoints and a pull-up banner ordered at 4.47pm on Thursday.

That is where the work has to survive.

Then you get the keys.

Clean files.

Clear names.

Practical guidelines.

A proper walkthrough.

No folder called:

FINAL_FINAL_v8_USE_THIS_ONE_ACTUAL

You should know what you have, where it is, how it works and what to do with it.

If the identity only works while nmcDesign is standing beside you, we have not finished the job.

What we do not do

We do not discover your purpose.

We do not invent your values.

We do not tell you what your organisation should become.

You bring the business.

You bring the direction.

We create the identity that helps it move forward.

The actual goal

Not “a lovely logo”.

Not applause from other designers.

Not something that looks fashionable until the internet gets bored again.

An identity people recognise.

An identity your own team can use.

An identity that still feels right after the launch fizz has disappeared and somebody has to put it on an invoice.

Something worth standing behind.

Think yours has stopped doing the job?

We start with a 15-minute conversation.

No workshop.

No pitch deck.

Just what you do, what has changed and where you are going.

If there is a project in it, we will know soon enough.

Start a project

Starting something.
Changing something.

Going somewhere?
